Unarota Venator

Developed in the early stages of the moon conflicts these single wheel scout vehicles were a favorite of the forward deployment teams. Combining speed, maneuverability, and weapons loadout the versatile Unarota Venator would find itself and its specialized crews deployed on more than 13 worlds.

At the end of the conflicts many Unarota Venator's were decommissioned as more advanced AI driven drones came into development and new leadership in the military decided to depend on robotic and AI assets in the field, something that would prove fatal in the years to come during the inner galactic uprisings and the larger sector war.

Many of the Unarota Venator's that were decommissioned landed in the hands of local security or bounty hunters and sometimes larger numbers of them were used by marauders or crime syndicates. The military felt removing the complex original cockpit of the vehicle would make it mostly useless except for parts as the e2 slow decay reactor would be perfect for small communities or large farms to provide power for decades to come. Black market engineers however found it easy to create a chair and control scheme to add to the vehicle, indeed there are as many as twenty variations of cockpit used on the still functioning machines.

With multiple hard points and space to mount weapons, many of the variants are equipped with powerful offensive and defensive interchangeable weapon pods. The treads of the vehicle can be swapped easily and allow for configurations for almost any terrain.
Skilled pilots are the most scarce resource for the Unarota Venator, a balance of driving skill and intuition balanced with the programming and computer drive-by-wire systems takes pilots years to develop. Long term pilots develop a kinship with their vehicle, engineer and programmer and are unlikely to change any of them in whatever career they choose.

Pictured is a highly customized Unarota Venator for use on the frozen moon of Europa for the Glacies Syndicate. Out fitted with liquid metal charged rail guns and a 24 set micro missile pack that can house offensive and defensive ordinance. The syndicate operates 20 fully functioning vehicles and use them to maintain their hold on key heavy water pumping stations along with a standing mercenary army and other large military vehicles. So long as the stations provide the resources needed for the military and government contracts they are allowed to function in this way.
